The questions I get asked most, answered.

The same questions come up on every first call. Here they are, so the call can start further along. Answers are written to be quoted, by a person or by whatever answer engine sent you here.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between boosting a post and running ads?

Boosting pays to show one post to more people, with almost no control over who sees it or what happens after they do. Running ads in Ads Manager lets you choose the objective, build the audience, test several creatives against each other, and track what people did on your site. A campaign adds structure on top: budgets that follow results, and reporting you can defend.

Which advertising platforms do you work in?

Meta, which covers Facebook and Instagram, is the core. LinkedIn for B2B demand generation. I have also run Snapchat and Pinterest. I do not sell Google search as a standalone service, and if search is all you run, I will tell you on the first call.

What does it cost to start?

Every engagement starts with one paid, fixed-fee step. The Foundations Sprint is $3,500 over 30 days for paid media. The AI Clarity Session is $1,500 over one week for automation. Ongoing management is monthly, banded to your ad spend, and quoted on the call once there is something worth managing.

What actually happens in month one?

Tracking gets audited and rebuilt before any budget moves, because everything after that depends on measuring it. Then the account structure, then creative. By day 30 you have a rebuilt account, a 90-day roadmap, and a baseline you can put in front of a board.

Why not an agency?

An agency sells you a senior name at the pitch and staffs a junior on the account. I am the person in the pitch and the person in the account, and there is nobody between us.

Where do I start with AI if I have tried it and it was underwhelming?

Pick the one thing that ate your week, and hand the boring half of it to AI without losing your voice. Do the task by hand once, write the steps down as a job description, and test whether the tool does it the way you would. That is rung one on the ladder, and it is where the value is. Copying someone else's stack is how most teams end up with a subscription and no change.

Is my data safe if I use AI tools for marketing?

Public content only, until your organisation has a written policy. Nothing with customer names, donor amounts, or financial data goes into any tool before that policy exists. Ask your operations or IT contact for it, and do not write one at lunch.

Who are you wrong for?

If you only run Google search, if you want one person doing content and paid media together, or if you need someone in your office every week, I will say so on the first call instead of the third. Under $5,000 a month in ad spend, Amplify is the better fit.

Do you run workshops?

Yes. Two subjects, paid social fundamentals and AI for marketing teams, run as a single session or a short series for a company, or as one-to-one coaching. Every workshop ends with the same thing: a plan you can act on Monday, not a tool list.

What is Amplify?

A productised paid social service for businesses spending under $5,000 a month on ads, run on justblakemedia.com. It is what I say instead of no when a retainer is the wrong shape for your budget. Ask about it on the call.
